The Huawei Mate 20 Pro would be equipped with the same ultrasonic fingerprint sensor like the Samsung Galaxy S10. Anxious to burn the priority to its eternal rival, the Chinese outsider signed an exclusive contract with Qualcomm, which designs the fingerprint scanner.
According to our Korean colleagues from ETNews and Biometric Update, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro would be the very first smartphone equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. More potent than the optical sensor of the Vivo Nex or Vivo X20 Plus UD, this sensor allows a much more precise scan of your fingerprints and works even if your fingers are wet or a little dirty.
High tech specs
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Galaxy S10 will be equipped with the same fingerprint sensor under the screen!
The latest news is that the Galaxy S10 relied heavily on the addition of this new technology, developed primarily by Qualcomm, to showcase itself. Samsung’s CEO praised the fingerprint sensor over the technology used by Vivo or its Chinese competitors. As a reminder, optical sensors are mostly designed by the Chinese firm Gudix, PhoneArena specifies.
Huawei has signed an exclusive contract with Qualcomm until February 2019 to gain a foothold over Samsung. This strategic deal will enable the Chinese manufacturer, which aims to become the world market leader as of next year, to beat its competitor in the pillory.
In addition to this print sensor under the screen, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro would be equipped with a triple rear photosensor, a Kirin 980 SoC and a large AMOLED borderless screen. The Mate 20 Pro would be presented around next November.
